About This Ministry

This ministry exists as an extension of the Anglican Diocese of Northern Argentina for the sake of organizing short-term missions trips, long-term missionary work, financial support and any other endeavor advantageous to strengthening the Church and advancing Christ's Kingdom in Argentina.  This website is intended to act as a tool of communication for making the Church in North America, the United States in particular, aware of the many needs of this global southern diocese.

Many know of the current crisis in the Anglican Communion concerning issues of biblical authority and human sexuality.  In the movements currently underway to preserve historic Anglicanism, Archbishop Gregory Venables, Primate of the Southern Cone of the Americas, has been regarded as one of the most powerful voices defending biblical Christianity.  His leadership of the Anglican churches of the Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru, Bolivia) is marked not by an interest in giving into the current trends of culture but instead a God-fearing obligation to stand up for the faith once delivered.

Like-minded Christians are invited to become involved in the life of the Church in one of the most needy areas of ++Venables' province.  The diocese of N. Argentina, composed of the provinces of Salta, Jujuy, Tucuman, Formosa and parts of Chaco (see below), is home to over 150 Anglican parishes, most of which are in struggling indigenous areas.  These tribal people groups were first approached with the Gospel roughly 100 years ago.  Communities impacted as a result of the great missionary movement of the 19'th century are currently struggling as the diocese experiences a severe lack of Christian workers and funds.  There is great need for missionaries (both short-term and long-term), financial support and of course, prayer.
